Paradise Weather

December 2nd – 10th

All Care Tree returned to the resort today and trimmed the rest of the canopy above the pickleball courts and throughout the roadway. I have reached out to the Town of Hilton Head to raise their canopy along Arrow Road, they have responded that they will have their landscapers address this.

Everyone is doing great at collecting your packages in a timely manner. Please continue to be quick at retrieving your packages, it does not take much to clutter the mailroom.

Tree Lighting has been moved to Monday night in Paradise Island.

With rain in the forecast for Sunday we decided to move the date for this. We will meet at 5:45pm and light the tree at 6pm. We will have hot cocoa for everyone and holiday music. Hope to see everyone there!

Team Motorcoach has taken this week to transform our Tropical Paradise into a beautiful Holiday Paradise. I want to thank everyone for their hard work.

We would like to have a Holiday Decoration Contest within the resort. The staff will vote on their favorite site that is decorated for the holiday season on December 21st. The site with the most votes will be a winner of a Serg Gift Card. Good luck to everyone who participates!

Change to the Bylaws

In the fall of 2022, the Board and Owners voted to 1) approve restricting those owners whose POA fees are in arrears by 60 days or more from voting and 2) provide the resort authority to withhold rental income from lot owners who are in arrears with their POA dues. Please be advised that the amended Bylaws were recorded this week in Beaufort County as required by South Carolina state law and they will take effect on December 31, 2023. The text from the Bylaws is as follows in Section 3.d.

Owners whose POA fees are in arrears by 60 days or more shall be restricted from being allowed to vote. In addition, if the owner is in the rental pool, the rental income will be retained by the resort to offset the past due POA fees. (Approved 8.20.2022)

The complete revised Bylaws will be posted to the Owners Portal as soon as possible.

Monthly Owners Zoom Meeting

Unless announced otherwise, the owners zoom meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month at 6:00pm Eastern Time. The purpose of these meetings is to provide an update to the Deep Well Project and if time permits, another topic suggested by owners. As previously announced, we would like to limit these meetings to about an hour and therefore, questions during these meetings will be limited only to the topics presented. Thank you for your cooperation. If you have a topic suggestion for a future meeting that you think would be of interest to others, please don’t hesitate to submit it via the Direct Line.

Happy December 1st!

Globes and light poles are being worked on. Globes are being cleaned, bulbs replaced, Light fixture arms are being painted and then the posts will be painted. They should all be completed by the end of next week.

Phase 1, 2 and 3 pagoda lights are all checked. The remaining loops will be done by Tuesday.

I am still working with Spectrum on the missing channels and getting the guide on channel 2 to match. Thank you for your patience while we work on it.

For the month of December, we will have Christmas music playing by the pool weather permitting.
