Team Motorcoach

A new group has been created to assist with events and activities for the resort throughout the year.

This group will be called the Paradise Planners.

Sandy Snyder and John Scott are liaison’s for communication between management and the Paradise Planners. We are looking for many volunteers. The volunteers will help with creating events, planning, scheduling, set up/tear down. In order for this to be successful we need more than a simple 5 or 6 volunteers, we do not want individuals to feel they are working at paradise more than enjoying. With an abundance of volunteers, duties can be split up and divided amongst everyone.

We understand many have left the resort for the summer months, but this group can still meet via zoom to discuss events for the fall/winter months.

Please send your ideas and/or your willing to volunteer to:

Sandy at tswhitewater@gmail.com

I look forward to working with all those who volunteer.

The town of Hilton Head did arrive on Wednesday to inspect and sign off on the seating area fencing. The Greenery began work on Thursday. The initial deadline of May 6th is not achievable. I will communicate next week with the new proposed deadline.

Thank you to everyone that voted on the Dog Park names. There were 204 votes total. And the winner is……

PAWS PARADISE

We have ordered a sign and will have it hung upon arrival.

State Sen. Tom Davis provided an update on the widening of I-95 from the South Carolina/Georgia state line to Walterboro. The first phase could begin later this year. Click here to read more.

Board of Directors

Good afternoon,

I have a small request for owners.

Facebook is a great marketing tool. We have over eleven hundred dedicated followers on our social site alone. This is of tremendous value to the resort.

I would ask all owners to use the social sites to promote our great resort.

Post all the beauty of our resort and all the great things that are happening in and around it.

We want to attract guest renters and possible future owners to HHIMR.

Please don’t post snakes!

Thanks,

JL

(send the negative to Direct Line, we’ll make sure every owner knows where the alligator was spotted)

The Q1 Financials along with the April Rental Trends and Deep well expenses are uploaded on the Owner’s site.

A friendly reminder that if not already paid, the second quarter POA dues are now OVERDUE. Please remit payments as soon as possible. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Correction:

In a haste to meet a publication deadline, my message last week made reference to a real estate broker  improperly using our owners list for marketing. This may have been misleading.

After discussions with the broker, we were told the agent purchases public record information of recent real estate transactions from a local marketing company.

His use of this information to send flyers is a legitimate use of publicly available information.

My apologies to the broker and the agents associated for any inconvenience.

Happy Friday!

The lake is being monitored. What’s on the surface is plankton. It is not algae. PLM will be here next week to treat the lake. We also need rain to help with flushing it out. There is nothing harmful to the fish or turtles.

A friendly reminder to have your power pedestal and meter connections checked. If you need assistance with this please email me at: maintenance@hhimr.com. The pedestals are old and should be inspected once a year, especially if you are in the rental program.

Pressure washing and cleaning will continue next week around the pool and common areas.

The women’s room shower tile repairs should start next week. I am still waiting on a confirmation.

Have a great weekend and safe travels!

This weeks funny is brought to you by an owner…

Property Enhancement Committee

There is currently an upswing in site upgrades and renovations.

Be aware that ALL projects including modifications to hardscape and/or building a structure require a Property Enhancement Application.

If there any questions about the steps you need to take, or what is allowed, please contact me. The purpose of Property Enhancement is to enhance the appearance and aesthetic of Paradise. Working together we will achieve that.
