Hello Everyone! I would like to thank everyone for your patience while I was out sick for the last week. It was definitely an experience. I am back and still catching up on emails and voice mails. I am in the office all Weekend and you will receive my responses if you reached out. I still have some light voice issues, and it is expected to heal in the next couple weeks, but that involves voice rest and I love to talk, see my dilemma.

I hope everyone is enjoying the dog park. I will send out the name choices at the beginning of the week to allow you to place your vote.

Remember the resort has a rule that all pets must be leashed at all times, even when you are on your personal site. This is to protect both you and your pet. The only free roaming area for pets is the Dog Park located at the Welcome Center, not in neighboring common space, owner’s lots, or Green Space.

Please everyone adhere to this rule.

The weather is changing and rain is falling, this means that the landscape will start growing. Not only will flowers start to bloom but weeds will be returning within pads, bushes, and trees. It is the responsibility of all owners to ensure your privately owned site is landscaped and maintained monthly. Palmetto Coastal is only responsible for blowing off your pad, mowing and weed-eating your grass once a week. All other maintenance will need to be addressed by the owner, this includes weed treatment.

Additional Chairs and Tables have been added to Paradise Island. Pets are welcome at all times.

All Owners of Rental Sites, it is time to review and update your site descriptions and pictures in our reservation system. Send all updates to AGM@HHIMR.COM.

Notice of the Annual Owners Meeting: the 2024 Annual Owners Meeting will be held on Saturday, March 23rd in the upstairs clubhouse, immediately following the regular Board of Directors Business Meeting that is scheduled for 1:00. Attached is the agenda for the Owners Meeting. The agenda for the Board of Directors Business Meeting will be provided later.

Thank you for all of the birthday wishes. I even had a water leak surprise birthday party! Thank You Annette Grindle for the cakes!

*WATER SHUT OFF NOTICE*

On Tuesday March 12th after 11am, the water will be turned off so the main line backflow preventer can be repaired. Water will be off for about 4 hours. The backflow must be in working condition per the SIPSD. An email notice will be sent out that morning. Signs will also be posted in the clubhouse bathrooms and laundry room.

The dogs are having a blast in the dog park. It’s great to see so many owners and pets enjoying it and keeping it clean!

The pool heaters were on last week as a test to make sure there were no issues. All 3 heaters require warranty work to be performed so they have been turned off. It will be about 2 weeks to get the parts and have them up and running. We will send out an email when they are operational.

The lake fountains were pulled ashore and washed. They are working fine. PLM Lake Maintenance was here this week for our monthly service.

Reminder to please breakdown cardboard in the recycle area. Bulk items need to be placed in the storage area and not around the dumpsters or recycle area.

Thank You For Your Warm Welcome Response on this my first Friday. This first weekend, and week culminating in St Patrick’s Day and Owners Week will provide me the opportunity to meet so many more of you. I will be participating in your events and activities, facilitating more and organizing for HH Island Wide events as well as being your new Front Office Manager. My background is also in Event Management. Fourteen years as a full time Hilton Head Island resident has given me extensive knowledge of Island Events and Activities on both the north and south ends of this Island that I call home. Upstate New York was my original home state but I’m all in for Hilton Head and your outstanding RV Resort ! Yours, Doreen
