Facilities Manager

Happy Friday!

There are missing channels due to the Disney contract dispute with Spectrum. The channel guide that displays on channel 2 will be updated soon. I believe there are 4 channels that we no longer receive. Thank you for your patience while we work thru this.

The pool heaters have been repaired and all 3 are in service.

The other lake fountain has been turned off due to the pump making noise. PLM has been notified and will be out soon to inspect it.

Painting on the office is almost complete. A few more items to address and it will look fantastic! The mailroom exterior is next.

12 Pagoda lights around the Clubhouse area have pink bulbs. This is for the month of October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

As mentioned a few weeks back, beach theme deco is almost complete. The missing molding needs to be cut, installed and painted. A basket for the bike and some plants will finish it off.

It’s great to see owners rolling in. I have enjoyed following some of you on your adventures this summer on Facebook.

Enjoy your weekend and safe travels!

Welcome Committee

Greetings Neighbors,

At the last Board business meeting the Board discussed forming a Welcome Committee for our rental guests. The Board asked me to chair this committee and shared that our initial goal is to make guests feel welcome by making contact with them within a day or two after they arrive. Our focus with our rental guests is twofold: 1) would we like them to rent with us again?, and 2) are they a candidate as a potential buyer? Bud Grindle will be the Board representative and in that Wendy has the ultimate responsibility for our rental guests, she will also serve as a committee member and she and I will work closely together to ensure its success.

We are looking for 6 owner volunteer members to start work on the plans for the committee. Ideally, we’d like to have one member from each loop. If you are outgoing, welcoming and friendly, please consider volunteering for this committee and/or for a future volunteer team. To volunteer, please email your name, lot number and phone number to me at kcg408@gmail.com.

Sincerely,

Karen Gardner, Lot 64

About Bicycling on Hilton Head Island

Hilton Head Island, SC – (September 29, 2023) – The extensive network of interconnected pathways, serene beaches, enhanced traffic systems, and educational initiatives for cyclists have played a vital role in Hilton Head Island’s attainment of its current gold Bicycle Friendly Community (BFC) status.

The Town of Hilton Head Island has formally applied for the renewal of its Bicycle Friendly Community status recognized by the League of American Bicyclists. The review process is currently in progress.

In order to assist the League of American Bicyclists in gaining insights into the experiences and viewpoints of the local bicycling community in the Town of Hilton Head Island, we value your input. Please spare a few moments to contribute your feedback by participating in our public survey using the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BFC_Fall23. The survey will be accessible until Friday, October 20.
