Greetings from Paradise and Team Motorcoach
Happy Friday! Only 36 days left until Christmas and 41 days until the New Year Rolls up on us. The National Day of is National Absurdity Day. This day was created as a day to recall and note some of the entirely off the wall and ridiculous things in history, in our country and our lives. Absurdity Day is also a day to have fun and do crazy, zany and absurd things. Please don’t take this literally. There will be no swimming in the lake, or climbing the clubhouse roof. But, if you do… while you’re up there please clean the gutters.    The Team and I received the most thoughtful and meaningful gift on Wednesday. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. It was not the gift but, what was in the gift “Moose Munch” and a nice bottle of Wine we will all enjoy together on Thanksgiving Day. The greatest joy one can receive is a gift that comes from the heart and one that truly makes one feel special. We all feel special and not because our momma’s told us so. Owner’s Week was our gift to you to make all of you feel special and cared for and hopefully we succeeded. Thank you once
We tried last month to treat the pool for Algae and then what happened the pool pump went out. Well we are going to try this once again on Monday November 23rd. Our pool has looked fantastic all summer and fall and we can’t let it go north or south now. So the pool will be closed on Monday.   Those darn water bills showed up again and my fan mail has just been awesome this week. Thank you for all the words of comfort and joy. I’m glad we got the goody box before you got the water bill.  Seriously now… I received calls from some of you stating that the RV detailer was using water from the lot he was working at to wash the coach. I made a call to Cross Island Detailers and specifically asked this question…”Do you use your own water when you detail coaches here at the Resort” and the answer at that time was yes. I then replied back to all those that made the initial call and told them that I verified that the detailer brings his own water supply. Yesterday I received an email from an Owner informing me that water was being used by the detailer from one of the Owner’s lots. I once again made the call to the detailer and asked the same question and this is what he said: “I fill up my ionizer tank from the spigot and use my own water” well that added a new wrinkle to my face. Somehow the same question that I asked several months ago seems to have been lost in translation. Needless to say I have asked the detailer to give me a list of all Owner owned coaches and Guest coaches that he has washed.  I am expecting those by Monday.    Now why am I telling you this… because I gave you an incorrect answer based on the information I was given at the time and feel the need to correct that answer and I apologize.    If our mail room is indicative of the economy on Hilton Head Island I can assure you its booming. The Team and I are doing the best we can with this situation. Please if you are expecting large packages come get them as soon as possible. With the holidays coming your assistance is going to be more critical . I have contacted Amazon to see if we would qualify for a locker and I’m waiting for a response.  Santa Claus is not going to be happy when he can’t find the milk and cookies.    Next week is Thanksgiving and we are completely sold out. When this happens you know how busy the Team and I can be. We have over 125 coaches arriving and with all those arrivals you know we have many many departures 154 to be exact. You as an owner are our guests as well so if we can’t get back to immediately or you need something immediately please call 843-422-3626 or email [email protected]. If you are traveling to be with family and friends please be safe. And most of all have a great Thanksgiving!   In closing today an owner sent me several quotes of just great humor (of which I love) and some quotes that were fitting for today. Please enjoy.

The Santa Shop empowers families to have greater involvement in their children’s Christmas. Parents have an opportunity to select the items they knew their children would like best.   One reason for the Santa Shop’s success has been the generosity of individuals and organizations on Hilton Head Island. Your contribution is key to making this program a real value to our community. Smart!   Saturday night was a treat for us with so many friends under the tent enjoying Owners Week companionship Paradise style. Also, we met a few existing owners for the first time which was delightful as well. So, if you’re an existing owner whom we’ve not yet met, we hope you stop in to say hi and introduce yourself while we’re in the clubhouse, which is often. We have got the nicest base of owners in this resort. Way to go every one!
